How to Measure at Home
String or Paper Strip
- 1.
Cut a thin strip of paper (~15 cm long, ~5 mm wide) or use a piece of string.
- 2.
Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on.
- 3.
Mark where the paper or string first overlaps itself with a pen.
- 4.
Lay it flat and measure from the end to your mark in millimeters — this is your circumference.
- 5.
Use the Circumference column in the chart above to find your US size.
Existing Ring
- 1.
Choose a ring that fits the intended finger well.
- 2.
Place it on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (the hole, not the band) in millimeters.
- 3.
Use the Diameter (mm) column in the chart above to find your size.

Printable Ring Sizer
Print this page at 100% scale (do not fit to page). Place an existing ring over the circles below to find your size — the circle that fits snugly inside your ring is your size.
Circles represent inside diameter at 1:1 scale (96 DPI). Verify by measuring the US 7 circle — it should be exactly 17.3 mm across.
Sizing Tips
Measure later in the day
Fingers swell slightly as the day goes on. Measuring in the evening gives the most accurate fit.
Temperature matters
Cold fingers are temporarily smaller. Measure at room temperature for the best result.
Consider the band width
Wider bands fit more snugly. If ordering a band wider than 6mm, consider going half a size up.
Dominant hand is larger
Your dominant hand's ring finger is usually 0.5 sizes larger. Be sure to measure the correct hand.
Knuckle vs. base
If your knuckle is significantly wider than the base, go with a size that slides over the knuckle.
When in doubt, size up
A slightly large ring is easier to resize than one that's too tight. Our free resize policy has you covered.
